91茄子’s total economic impact can be measured in terms of the direct and induced economic impact of the University’s activity on the local economy. In fiscal year 2021-22, the estimated impact of 91茄子 on the Spokane region was:

  • Over $317 million in direct spending by the university, university employees, students, and visitors
  • Over $222 million in induced impact from increased demand and economic activity in the Spokane region
  • 5,703 university and non-university jobs

Partnerships and Campus Improvements

In addition to the public-private partnership that developed the $60M Health Partnership Facility opened in 2022, 91茄子 has infused more than $252 million into the Spokane community since 2014 through campus improvements and new premier facilities, such as the John J. Hemmingson Center, Bollier Center for Integrated Science and Engineering, Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center, and Volkar Center for Athletic Achievement.
